Sora Bulq

Sora Bulq was a Weequay Jedi Master of the Old Republic during the time of the Clone Wars and the rise of Emperor Palpatine. While Weequay Jedi were rare, Sora Bulq was considered one of the greatest Jedi Masters of his time. Introspective at hears, Sora Bulq was careful to meditate on important decisions, especially if the outcome would affect many. Unfortunately, as happened to many Jedi that fought in the Clone Wars, Sora Bulq turned his back on the Jedi Order and embraced the Dark Side joining the ranks of Count Dooku.

As a Jedi, Sora Bulq was a master philosopher, teacher, and warrior. Together, he and Jedi Master Mace Windu explored the seventh form of lightsaber combat known as Vaapad. As the style required one to surrender oneself to the fight, such actions tread dangerously close to the Dark Side and required a confidence that only Jedi Masters could achieve. For this reason, it was not surprising that the only experts included Master Windu and Sora Bulq. When Quinlan Vos returned to the Jedi after having lost his memory, Sora Bulq was assigned to retrain the amnesiac Jedi. Introducing Quinlan to Vaapad, Bulq found that Vos had too much darkness within him to continue the lesson.

In the decades that preceded the Clone Wars Sora Bulq was a staunch support of the principles upon which the Republic was founded and viewed the Jedi Order's role as upholding those principles as honorable and noble. However, as the Republic and the Senate was continually hijacked by corruption, infighting, and bureaucratic obstruction. As the Republic fell further and further from its founding principles Sora Bulq began to question what he was fighting to protect. It wasn't until after the Battle of Geonosis that his fall to the Dark Side became complete.
